Who we are
QuantX Estimation (“we”, “us”) provides construction estimating and quantity takeoff services to businesses in the United States and United Kingdom. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you send us a project, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can contact us at quantx.estimation@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through our quote form, we collect:
- your name, company, email address, phone number and role
- project details: sector, type of work, US or UK market, trade, and any notes you add
- a link to your drawings, and any files you attach
- your confirmation that we may contact you about the enquiry
- the IP address the form was sent from, which we use to stop repeated automated submissions
When you email, call or work with us, we also hold what you send: drawing sets, specifications, addenda, estimate templates and our correspondence with you.
When you browse the website, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager collect usage information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location, the site that referred you, and clicks on buttons, phone numbers and email links.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and send you a confirmation email
- to quote, carry out, revise and invoice the work you ask for
- to keep business and accounting records
- to understand how the website is used and which pages lead to enquiries
- to protect the website and the enquiry form from abuse
Your drawings and project information
Drawings, quantities and pricing are treated as confidential and used only for your engagement. We do not publish client names, project details or drawings without written permission, and we will sign your NDA before opening your drawings if you send one. Sample estimates we send to others are sanitised, with names, addresses, project references and title blocks removed.
International transfers
We work with clients in the United States and United Kingdom, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. We keep project files and correspondence for the engagement, for revisions afterwards, and for as long as our records require. We keep accounting records for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless we must keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- have it corrected or deleted
- object to or restrict how we use it
- receive a copy in a portable format
- withdraw consent you have given
To use any of these rights, email quantx.estimation@gmail.com. We will not treat you differently for doing so. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security
The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we limit access to project information to the people working on it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. For large or sensitive drawing sets, a shared link from a secure file service is safer than an email attachment.
Children and other websites
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children. Some pages link to third-party websites, including AI assistants and social networks, which have their own privacy policies.
